New Plan

Well, things were going great until I discovered that working and working out were not compatible. I was a zombie about half the week and I'd really only gotten up to about 11 hours per week of working out. So I've decided to do shorter distances as a compromise, starting on Sunday. I'll be doing an olympic distance in Blue Lake.

I've never done an Olympic distance and I'm not even sure how it's done. Also, I've pretty much not worked out for almost two weeks, so I'm not expecting a whole lot.

One thing that's cool is there are swims in the Willamette on Thursdays until the Portland Triathlon on August 31st. I'm looking forward to that.

Next week I'll start back with some more serious working out, with the goal being olympic distance tris instead of half and full irons. Part of the motivation here is that I can do more races because they're cheaper and more local so easier to get to. Maybe staying motivated ( and rested) will be easier with shorter distances.
