Ride to Multnomah Falls

The destination

On the way down.
Enjoying my latte and rasberry danish.

View from Crown Point.

View of Crown Point, all downhill from here in either direction.
The ride from Multnomah Falls from my place is almost exactly 50 miles round trip, so it's a great training ride. Plus the elevation change has to be over 1000 feet (at least). The grade never exceeds 6% since I never have to stand up to keep the bike moving, but it is a challenging grade, to say the least. A fantastic 100 miler would be doing this ride twice.
I may trickle in a couple more pictures as I've lost my favorite shots from my desktop.

Wow! How do you get there? I only know the freeway. I'd love to make that a goal. Crown point would be shorter...hmmmm, must start looking into these routes.

Google "Crown point, oregon" and it'll give you an address. Then just do a mapquest or google map or whatever. It's a very cool ride, safe and challenging. Other than going straight out 26 East, my favorite ride to date.
